Overview
This quick guide shows Organization Owners, Program Owners, and Program Managers how to access the Workflow Builder within an Award Cycle in Next.
What is the Workflow Builder?
Workflow is a term used in Next to describe the steps of an award cycle as a whole: from accepting applications (intake) all the way to post-award reporting.
The Workflow Builder is the area within an award cycle where rounds of activity are created and defined. It's where you set up and manage your cycle's full award lifecycle.
- Only Intake Rounds and Review Rounds can be added to the Workflow Builder.
- This is also where you access the buttons to activate Test Mode and Publish each award cycle.
Navigate to the Workflow Builder
1. In the organization's main page, click Programs in the top menu (if not already selected).
2. Find the Program you need; click View Program.
3. From the Program page, click Program Settings at the bottom of the left-hand menu
4. Click All Award Cycles in the left-hand menu.
5. Find the cycle you want to test and click the Open button.
6. Once the cycle is open, select the Workflow tab from the top.
7. In the left-hand menu, confirm Workflow Builder is selected.
8. The Workflow Builder for that award cycle will be visible on the screen.
