Overview

This article provides information about how to reassign review assignments that are declined by reviewers.

Declined Review Assignments

If assignments are declined by reviewers, the Program Owner will receive an email notification that an assignment has been declined.

The Program Owner can log in to the program directly from that email; an example is shown below.



The number of review assignments for an application automatically updates on the Review Round screen when reviewers decline an assignment.  However, there is no other indication of the declined assignment on this screen.  The Program Owner can open the assignments to view current and declined review assignments.

Reassign Declined Review Assignments

To reassign declined review assignments:

  1. Select the number in the Assignments column of the submission with the declined assignment.

  1. The Adjust Assignments panel opens on the right side of the screen; from this panel, the Program Owner can add new reviewers to the application, if needed.

  1. Notice that if an assignment has been declined, it will display as such next to that reviewer's Status.

  1. Select the dropdown arrow to reveal a list of reviewers to assign to the submission.





--- REMEMBER ---

Only individuals who have been invited and accepted their invitation to the program will appear on this list.



  1. Select one or more individuals from the list to be reviewers for the submission.

  1. Select the Save button.

  1. A popup window will appear asking to confirm adding the new reviewer(s) to the application.  Select the Confirm button to save the changes.



A brief notification appears on the top of the screen confirming the new review assignment(s).  



The number of Assignments related to the application is also updated.
