New Global Field Types: Short and Long Answer Fields

We've expanded our Global Fields capabilities by adding two new field types: Short Answer and Long Answer fields. These text-based Global Fields can now be used consistently across multiple programs, providing even more flexibility for standardized data collection.

What Are Global Fields?

Global Fields are standardized data fields that can be used consistently across multiple programs within an organization. They enable unified data collection, cross-program analytics, and provide reusable templates for common questions.

For detailed guidance on creating and managing Global Fields, refer to our help documentation for step-by-step instructions and best practices.

Salesforce CRM Integration

Our new Salesforce integration streamlines how grantmakers capture and manage applicant data through intake forms. With flexible mapping capabilities, you can connect NextZen intake form fields to any Salesforce object, including cross-object relationships and lookup field connections using unique identifiers.

This connection ensures your team always works with the latest applicant information, improving data integrity and supporting better decision-making. As intake data flows seamlessly into Salesforce with full application tracking, both applicants and organizations benefit from increased efficiency and reduced manual data entry.

To implement this integration, contact your customer success representative to add it to your plan. Refer to our help documentation for guidance (to follow)  on connecting to Salesforce and mapping your preferred intake form fields.

Docusign Integration

Our new DocuSign integration streamlines the award agreement process by enabling secure, legally binding electronic signatures for multiple parties—all without leaving NextZen. Program Owners can create, send, and manage agreements entirely within NextZen, while awardees and stakeholders receive signing invitations via email and complete the entire signing process directly from their email without needing to create DocuSign accounts.

With real-time visibility into agreement status, program administrators can track progress and access completed agreements directly within NextZen, reducing follow-ups and delays while maintaining full oversight of the execution process.

Learn how to implement Docusign in your current and future programs.
