Overview

This article provides instructions on how to configure a request section within a sectioned form in a program cycle in Next. 

In the example below, an Intake Form is shown, but the process of configuring a request section in a Post Award Report Form is the same.

Configure a Request Section

Configuring a Request Section can occur when the section is initially added to the Intake Form, or anytime after it is added.

To configure a Request Section when it is initially added to the Intake Form:

1. See the Add a Section article to learn how to add a Request Section to the form.
2. Once the Request Section has been added to the form, the Add Fields tray changes to configuration options for the Request Section.

a. From the dropdown list, select the Request Form that the recipients of the request will complete, in support of the applicant.  If the Request Form is not yet created, this list will be empty and the Request Form can be added to the section later.  

b. Toggle on or off the fields to include or not include that the applicant completes to send a request to a third party; the Email Address field is required by default.

c. For the included fields, select if they are required or not.

d. Hide any fields that are not necessary for the applicant to complete.

e. At the bottom of the panel, select the minimum number of requests that the applicant should send.

f. Set the maximum number of requests permitted, up to 10.

g. When all configurations are complete, select the Done button. 

3. Select the Save button in the upper right corner of the Request Section.

To configure or edit the configuration of a Request Section after it has been created:

1. Select the Request Section field inside the Request Section area so the dotted outline remains visible.

2. Select the Configure Field cog wheel to open the configuration settings.

3. The configuration tray will slide open from the right side of the screen; follow the steps starting at 2.a. above to configure the Request Section.
