Overview

This guide shows Organization Owners and Client Admins how to duplicate (copy) an existing program in Next, so you can quickly set up a new program with the same settings, forms, and workflow.

Step-By-Step Instructions

How to Copy a Program

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. From the Programs page, click the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner of the program card you want to duplicate, and select Duplicate Program from the dropdown.

3. In the pop-up, select the award cycle you want to copy from the existing program.

📌 Note: You can only select one cycle to copy.

4. Review the duplication details. The message at the top of the pop-up names the program and cycle being duplicated and lists what's included in the copy — settings, forms, and workflow configurations.

5. Enter a name for your new program.

6. Review the auto-populated URL slug and edit it if needed.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: URL slugs must be all lowercase with no special characters other than dashes and underscores.
📌 Note: Slugs must be unique. If your slug is already in use, you'll receive an error. Try another slug.

7. Click Duplicate in the bottom-right corner of the pop-up.

  • A message appears briefly on screen.

  • When the system is finished duplicating the program, it will appear in its own program card under the Programs page in your account.

What Gets Copied

When you duplicate a program, the following components are included:

  • Program settings - All configuration options
  • Selected cycle settings - Settings from the cycle you chose
  • Forms - All form configurations
  • Workflow configurations - Review and approval workflows
