Who can access Program Settings?
- Organization Owners
- Program Owners
- Program Managers
How to Get to Program Settings
➜ If this is a brand new program you are setting up for the first time, Program Settings loads automatically when you click "Setup Program" from the Programs page.
➜ If you're editing the setup for an existing program, follow these steps:
-
Open the program from the Programs page by clicking "View Program."
- In the left-hand menu, click Program Settings.
What's in Program Settings
On the Program Settings page, you'll see two tabs in the left-hand menu: Program Setup and Member Types.
Program Setup
Program Setup is where you manage your program's general details, authorize an email for Program Inbox (if desired), and access URLs. To expand a section, click the downward facing arrow on the right side of its header.
⚠️IMPORTANT: Changes on the Program Setup page don't save automatically. The Save Changes and Cancel buttons appear in the top right corner once you make an edit — click Save Changes when you're done.
General
Manage general details and settings for your program.
a. Name: The name of your program.
b. Program type: Select a type from the dropdown.
c. Description: Add or edit a short description using the rich text editor. You can format text and add links or images. This description will be visible to applicants on the Program Info page.
d. Is this program currently active? — While you're setting up your program, keep this set to "No." Marking it active only changes how it appears on your team's Programs list; it doesn't affect whether applicants can see it.
e. Is this an invitation only program? — Toggle to "Yes" if your program is invite-only. Learn more: ➡️ Set Up & Manage an Invite-Only Program
Program Inbox
Authorize the email account your Program Inbox will use (if desired). Learn more: ➡️Set Up Program Inbox.
📌 Note: Program Inbox is a free feature, but it isn't turned on by default. Contact Customer Success to request it for your organization.
Program URL
Access your program's URL, and edit the URL slug. Your Program URL is the public link applicants use to reach your program. You can share it directly with applicants, add it to outreach or training materials, or embed it on an outside website.
To edit the Program URL:
- Click into the textbox at the end of the URL.
- Enter your slug using lowercase letters. You can also use numbers, dashes, and underscores.
📌Note: Slugs must be unique. If your slug is already in use, you'll receive an error. Try another slug.
To copy the Program URL:
- Click Copy on the right side of the Program URL field.
💡Tip: Always click Copy rather than copying the text shown in the box manually. This ensures you get your program's correct, full URL.
📌 Note: You can't copy your program's URL until at least one award cycle in the program is published.
Test Cycle URLs
Access URLs for any cycle in the program that's been put into Test Mode.
Test Mode lets you test an award cycle from start to finish without letting applicants see it. Next automatically adds a URL for each cycle that's put into Test Mode.

Saving Your Changes
Changes on this page don't save automatically.
- After making any changes, click Save Changes in the top right corner of the page.
- A message appears in the bottom-left corner confirming your changes were saved.
Member Types
Member Types is where you choose which roles are available for the program, including Program Manager, Program Staff, Reviewer, and Approver (if enabled). Program Owner is required and always available. Turning on a role here makes it selectable when you invite someone.
This is also where you go to change the Program Owner and manage application editing permissions for program admins.
