What are Eligibility Forms?

The Eligibility Form is a form that applicants complete to determine if they can move forward with the application.

  • Types of Eligibility Forms:
    • Informative: Anyone can apply, even if they don’t meet the eligibility rule(s).
    • Preventative: Only applicants who meet the eligibility rule(s) can apply.
  • Who can create and edit Eligibility Forms?
    • Organization Owners
    • Program Owners
    • Program Managers

⚠️ Important Notes:

  • If your program doesn’t have eligibility rules, you’ll still need to open the Eligibility Form tab and select “No eligibility for this program.”

  • The Eligibility Form cannot be edited once the workflow has been published.

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Open the Award Cycle you need (Open the Program > Program SettingsAll Award Cycles > Open the Award Cycle).

  2. Click Eligibility in the left-hand menu.

3. Select one of the eligibility options:

a. Informative:  The applicant can still apply, even if they do not meet the eligibility criteria.

➜ When to use: Select this if you'll consider exceptions to the eligibility criteria dependent on the pool of applicants.

b. Preventative: The applicant can only apply if they meet the eligibility criteria.

➜ When to use: Select this if you will NOT consider any exceptions to eligibility.

c. No eligibility: Any applicant will be able to apply.

➜ When to use: Select this if there are no eligibility rules for your award cycle.

How to Build the Eligibility Form (If informative or preventative are selected)

  1. The Eligibility Form builder appears.

  2. Build the Eligibility Form with the desired form fields and questions.

3. When customizing your fields, after editing the settings in the Field Configuration panel, click Next in the bottom right-corner.

4. Select which responses to the question make the applicant eligible.

5. Click Done in the bottom right corner of the panel to complete the field’s configuration.

6. The Eligibility Form will automatically save as changes are made to it.
