This step-by-step guide shows Program Owners and Organization Owners in Next how to re-offer (resend) an award that was declined by mistake or reversed by an Admin.
What is Re-Offering an Award?
The Re-Offer Award feature allows you to resend an award offer that an awardee accidentally declined or that you reversed at one point.

Before You Begin
To re-offer an award, “Allow Re-Awarding” must be turned on in your Cycle Setup.
How to Turn On “Allow Re-Awarding”
- Open the award cycle (Program Settings > All Award Cycles > Click Open next to the award cycle).
- On the Cycle Settings screen, click Cycle Setup in the top menu.
- Toggle Allow Re-Awarding to Yes.
- Click Save Changes in the upper-right corner.
Step-By-Step Instructions
How to Re-Offer an Award
- In the Award Cycle, click Awarding in the left-hand menu.
- Find the applicant with the Declined or Reversed award you want to re-offer.
📌Note: You can edit the award before re-offering, if needed.
- Under the Actions column on the far-right, click Re-offer Award.
- In the pop-up, click Re-offer Award.
- A confirmation message appears in the bottom-left confirming the award offer was reversed.
What Happens After Re-Offering an Award?
- Emails are sent: The applicant and Program Admins receive an automatic email notifying them that the award has been reissued.
Applicant Email Template:

- Award status changes: The award status changes to “Offered” in the Program Admin view; application status changes to “Selected” for applicants – they can accept or decline the award.

Activity history updated: On the Awarding page, click the clock icon
next to the award’s status to view a full timeline of the award history.
