Overview
This guide shows applicants how to view applications and understand application statuses in Next.
Viewing Your Applications
- Click Applications in the top menu of your portal to see all of your applications.
a. By default, your applications appear in list view. To switch to table view, click the table view icon next to the Filter button in the top-right corner of the application list.
b. Use the search bar to find an application by keyword.
c. Click Filter to narrow your list by status, program, or submission date.
d. Click View on the far right of any application to open it.
Application Statuses
- The status tag to the far-right of each application shows where it is in the process.
Status Definitions & Next Steps
| Status | What it means | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | You started the application but haven’t submitted it yet. | Complete all required fields and submit your application before the deadline. |
| Submitted | Your application has been submitted and is waiting to be reviewed. | No further action needed. |
| Under Review | Your application is currently being reviewed. | No further action needed. |
| Revisions Requested | The program administrator has sent your application back to you for changes. | Open your application, make the requested changes, and resubmit. See [insert article] for more help. |
| Disqualified | Your application was disqualified by the program administrator. | No further action is available. |
| Selected | Your application has been selected for an award. | Open your application to accept or decline the award offer. |
| Awarded | You accepted the award. | Complete any *post-award requirements for your program. *Requirements vary and may include submitting progress reports, tracking goals and milestones, logging expenses, and more. |
| Declined | You declined the award. | No further action is available. |
Common Questions
Can I change my status?
- No, status is set internally by the system based on an administrator’s actions on your application.
I accidentally declined my award offer. What do I do?
- Please contact the organization directly for next steps.
Why was my application disqualified?
- At this time, the portal doesn't display a reason for disqualification. If you need more details, please contact the organization directly.
Why am I not receiving notifications about my application?
- Not all status changes trigger a notification, and your program may have set up their notification settings differently.
- The following statuses have default email notifications. If you’re expecting an email and can’t find it, try searching your inbox for one of these default subject lines:
- Submitted: "Submission confirmed for [program name]"
- Revisions Requested: "Action Required: Revise your application"
- Disqualified: "The status of your application for [program name] has been updated"

Selected: "Your [program name] Award Status is now available"
- Also check your spam or junk folder and search for no-reply@wizehive.app.
